St. Maarten Development Fund (SMDF) continued its efforts to support St. Maarten’s senior community when it handed over a new concrete home to Junior Cannegieter. Sixty-two-year-old Cannegieter lost his entire home and belongings with the passing of hurricane Irma.
In a true community-driven inititaive, the Office of the Dutch Representative in Philipsburg (VNP), St. Maarten Development Fund (SMDF) and Windward Islands Bank (WIB) recently joined forces to replace the damaged roof of New Start for Children foster home.
With a new school year starting two weeks away, parents of over 400 elementary school children will have one less expense to worry about, as #RebuildSXM and St. Maarten Development Fund (SMDF) will be providing school uniforms for the most vulnerable children throughout the St. Maarten’s primary schools.
